ARK Invest Research Director: Stablecoin-Holding Addresses Top 300 Million for First Time
ARK Invest Digital Asset Research Director Lorenzo Valente said stablecoin-holding addresses have surpassed 300 million for the first time. According to ChainCatcher, Ethereum accounts for 37% of all stablecoin-holding addresses, up from 29% two years ago, with about three-quarters of its share coming from layer-2 networks. Valente said the strategy of expanding adoption through L2s is working and expects tokenized stocks to follow a similar path; he also noted that EVM-compatible chains hold about 94% of stablecoin addresses. It took eight years for stablecoin-holding addresses to reach 300 million, and Valente expects the number of wallets to reach 1 billion within 18 months, faster than the existing trend.
