The first Korean won-backed stablecoin, KRW1, issued by BDACS goes live onchain on Avalanche. Rain adds support for the asset, enabling won-denominated stablecoin card programs on its existing card infrastructure.The launch gives Avalanche a new onchain supply of Korean won-denominated value. Through Rain, KRW1 holders can access card programs that accept Visa, connecting the stablecoin to everyday spending rather than trading alone. This creates an additional activity channel for the Avalanche network tied to a national currency.
