Brazil Police Seize About $1.7 Million in Crypto Assets in ClickFix Operation
Brazilian police in Santa Catarina state seized about 8.78 million Brazilian reais in crypto assets during the ClickFix operation, including Bitcoin, ETH, TRX, and USDT. According to Foresight News, the assets from three self-custody wallets were transferred to state custody.The seizure also included real estate worth about 6.5 million reais and vehicles worth about 2.4 million reais, bringing total seized assets to 17.7 million reais. Bank accounts were frozen by as much as 93 million reais.Authorities said the criminal group used ClickFix techniques to trick victims with fake browser error messages and induce them to run malicious code that gave the group control of their devices.
