Cathie Wood's weekly recap: buys $25M of CoreWeave, trims $40M in Bitcoin ETF
Cathie Wood’s Ark Invest made several large portfolio moves last week, adding to CoreWeave while increasing exposure to healthcare and trimming positions across crypto, genomics and technology.In AI and cloud infrastructure, Ark bought ~239K shares of CoreWeave worth about $24.7M, while adding around 11K shares of Meta Platforms for $7.25M. The firm also sold ~87K shares of Tempus AI worth $5.2M and 34.5K shares of Palantir Technologies for $5.9M.In healthcare and biotechnology, Ark bought Ionis Pharmaceuticals for about $8.90M and Guardant Health for $9.3M. It also made a smaller addition to Scribe Therapeutics . On the selling side, the firm cut ~322K shares in 10x Genomics by $21.8M, Illumina by $1.9M and GeneDx Holdings by $2M.In crypto and fintech, Ark sold 1.53M shares of the ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF worth about $39.8M, marking its largest sale of the week. The firm also reduced Circle Internet by $13.5M, Coinbase Global by $6.8M and a smaller reduction in Bullish .In other technology holdings, Ark sold Advanced Micro Devices worth ~$10M, Alphabet by $13.1M, and Shopify by $6.5M. It also made a smaller reduction to Twist Bioscience .In aerospace and defense, Ark bought AeroVironment worth $5.8M. The firm also sold Teledyne Technologies for $3.3M and Iridium Communications for $3.7M.
