ChatGPT and Claude Reach More Trading Accounts, With Different Rules on Approval
PrimeXBT today (Wednesday) opened client accounts to ChatGPT and Claude through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). B2Broker added the same kind of access to its B2TRADER platform last week. The two firms set different rules on who signs off on an order the AI prepares. At PrimeXBT, a broker offering CFDs and crypto futures, assistants prepare market, limit and stop orders that run only after the trader confirms them. Before that click, the assistant shows the estimated price, fees, margin, leverage and liquidation level, the broker said.On B2TRADER, which B2Broker sells to brokers, each broker sets the access level: MCP switched off, read-only, or full access that lets agents place, modify and close trades.London's trading industry is coming home!At least six brokers and trading-technology firms have let AI assistants work inside client accounts since June, FinanceMagnates.com reporting shows. Among them, Interactive Brokers widened its AI connector to almost any MCP-based tool in July.Who Signs Off on an AI OrderEach setup answers two questions in its own way: what the client sees before an order goes through, and who decides whether a confirmation is needed.Leverate's MCP for Traders restates size, price, stops and margin impact before asking for a yes, while Capital.com's server for Middle East and North Africa clients previews each trade and asks for a two-step confirmation. At Interactive Brokers, Claude only drafts an instruction that the client turns into an order, while Axi clients can switch an action to always allow, after which Claude stops asking.B2Broker leaves that choice to the broker. Agents with full access can execute permitted trades without individual order confirmations, while orders proposed in B2TRADER's own AI Chat need explicit confirmation, B2Broker said.PrimeXBT asks for a yes on every order. Compared with the earlier launches, as FinanceMagnates.com reported them, its preview adds one figure: the estimated liquidation level. In a leveraged crypto position that level moves with the price, the kind of daily swing FM Intelligence's market movement tracker logs across asset classes.Crypto Futures and a Separate API for BotsJonatan Randin, senior market analyst at PrimeXBTClients connect an assistant with one link and their PrimeXBT login, choosing between Read-only and Read & Trade. The assistant cannot withdraw or move funds.Jonatan Randin, senior market analyst at PrimeXBT, said the MCP brings "real trading data and functionality into the AI assistants people already know and use."The integration works on demo and live accounts on PXTrader 2.0, the broker's own platform, and covers CFDs and crypto futures, a lineup that grew by 101 coins in September 2025.Answers on costs, margin requirements and platform rules draw on live account data and PrimeXBT's knowledge base, the broker said. The broker also launched a Trading API for algorithmic and quantitative traders who want to plug in their own bots and dashboards. It handles orders and positions behind two-factor authentication and optional IP restrictions.Arthur Azizov, founder and CEO of B2BROKERLike the MCP, the API cannot move money, the same limit ThinkMarkets set when it let AI execute orders on its ThinkTrader platform in June.Brokers Set the Limits on B2TRADERArthur Azizov, founder and CEO of B2Broker, said adding AI to a terminal "raises an immediate question: who decides what an assistant can actually do?"B2Broker pitches the read-only level at AI marketplaces and expects the in-terminal chat to cut routine support inquiries for brokers. Each agent sees only the accounts of the trader who authorized it.The MCP layer is the third stage of an AI program for B2TRADER that began with an assistant built into it in April, offering market forecasts, sentiment indicators and trading signals, B2Broker said.
