Grayscale: Zcash Marks 10th Anniversary as 20% of Block Rewards Fund Development
Zcash marked its 10th anniversary this week, with 20% of block rewards allocated to developer funding, according to Grayscale. According to ChainCatcher, the protocol has evolved from the Sprout pool to Sapling and Orchard.Ironwood, launched in 2026, added quantum-resistant addresses and formal verification to address code vulnerabilities. Grayscale said it hopes and expects Zcash to expand transaction capacity and prepare for post-quantum risks and AI-driven cybersecurity threats, which may require sustained funding from multiple parties and efficient allocation.
