More Than 70% of U.S. Tokenized Stock Trading Occurs Outside Regular Market Hours
More than 70% of trading volume in tokenized stocks linked to U.S. equities occurred outside regular U.S. market hours.Kaiko said on October 3 that 71% of tokenized stock trading volume on Uniswap in September took place outside regular U.S. equity trading hours. Nearly half of that activity occurred when U.S. stock exchanges were fully closed.Weekend price moves in tokenized stocks also appeared to foreshadow share-price moves after U.S. markets opened on Monday. In 20 of the 25 large price swings analyzed by Kaiko, weekend moves in tokenized stocks and stock-price moves immediately after Monday's open were in the same direction.Meanwhile, trading volume in tokenized stocks on Robinhood Chain has surpassed that of most other blockchain networks, the data showed.
