Sui is scheduled to integrate Circle's CCTP V2 on 8 October 2026, enabling native USDC transfers between Sui and 29 other supported blockchains. The transfer process burns USDC on the source chain and mints it on Sui.The burn-and-mint model enables stablecoin liquidity to move across the supported chains without using a bridged token. Payments, DeFi applications, and treasury products can use this transfer route to bring native USDC onto the network. Any effect on network activity and fee demand is indirect, depending on actual USDC inflows and use within these products.
