Trump's 'Close Friend' Byron Donalds Is Crypto Punters' Favorite to Succeed Ron DeSantis as Florida Governor
Cryptocurrency bettors are leaning toward Byron Donalds (R-Fla.), a close ally of President Donald Trump, in the Florida gubernatorial race.GOP’s Dominance to Continue?Polygon -based Polymarket currently priced in 77% odds on Donalds’ victory, versus 24% for Democrat David Jolly.If elected, Donalds would be Florida’s first African American governor.Republicans have won every gubernatorial election in Florida since 1998. Incumbent Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), whose term ends in January, won the last two elections in 2018 and 2022.Jolly was a former Republican Representative from Florida.
