Zcash: THORChain Nodes Begin ZEC Blockchain Scanning Ahead of Native Integration - 30 Sep 2026
THORChain nodes can now begin scanning the Zcash blockchain, with each node running its own Zcash full node. Once the scanners are healthy, ZEC can be switched on at the next churn, completing the setup phase for native ZEC integration on THORChain.Scanning is the setup step that lets THORChain validators track Zcash state independently before support goes live. When scanner health is confirmed, ZEC is enabled at the next churn, giving ZEC a new cross-chain liquidity venue and direct access to THORChain's multi-chain swaps. RUNE gains an additional fee-generating chain once the integration is active.
